How to tackle the Creativity question?

Trust your gut; you have a Designer's eye.

What does it take to solve creativity questions in Part -B from CEED/UCEED and NID? How do you brainstorm your idea and reach an outcome, which is your final doodle? What is the most important point to keep in mind while articulating your ideas?

“You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have."

 - Maya Angelou

Creativity increases with your efforts. The more you practice, the more you learn. Creativity is learning by doing. You will probably not learn if you try to procrastinate and just do not draw.

In my opinion, one of the best ways to solve any creativity question is first understanding what is being asked. If it is asked to draw an object with help of the given different types of lines, first observe what kind of lines are given in the question. Whether it is a curved line or wavy. The next go-to move is to jot down objects, which comes to your mind. For example, I can create an aquarium with two fishes in it with the help of two curvy lines.

You see, it is not too difficult or unpredictable. Isn't it an ecstatic movement for you, when you finally complete those ten boxes and draw all of your doodles?

Does this question justify that you have a Designer's eye? On the other hand, do you have what it takes to become a designer?

The design exams are made to test your logical thinking and creativity at a certain time. It will give you a tag from a Government recognized university in India. Nevertheless, it does not guarantee that you will end up becoming a designer.

Who is a designer in your opinion? A person who knows how to communicate his/her idea by creative visuals and portray his/her personality. A person who is able to reach the user's needs and able to deliver the desired products.

Design colleges are here to teach you basic concepts but it is uncertain that you will become a good designer. It solely depends upon the individual's capacity to learn and practice several times. So, do not get scared when solving creativity questions. If you are stuck, breathe and take it slow. Then you will surely come up with fresh ideas.

What is your favorite question out of all types? We hope to hear from you in the comment section.🙂
